Visionary Women Welcome Dinner

Had a wonderful experience photographing the Visionary Women Welcome Dinner at the Duke Mansion honoring Lauren Bush Lauren, founder and CEO of FEED. Lauren is gorgeous and has a smile that lights up the room. All the attendees were so kind and looked beautiful in their spring attire. Jay Everette, the community affairs manager for Wells Fargo, did a wonderful job coordinating the event and picking really great, professional vendors. The floral arrangements, created by Steve Taras of Watered Garden in Raleigh, were absolutely extraordinary. The amount of time and effort that went into each arrangement was incredible, and you could clearly see how much Steve cared about his work. Individual arrangements located at the base of the center arrangement in the foyer were offered to each of the attendees as they exited – so sweet. Steve ended up giving me around a half-dozen centerpieces that weren’t going to survive the journey home to Raleigh. My house looked like the Garden of Eden for days. Thanks so much, Steve! Attendees were also given a box that contained a handmade necklace, created by Alex Holleman, which was made especially for each guest. Lauren and the rest of the guests were floored. Such great people coming together to celebrate Lauren’s visit and her many accomplishments. Below are a few of my favorite moments from the night, which were also featured in The Charlotte Observer’s Scene & Heard.
