Had a great time photographing best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis during his speaking event at the Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts. His lecture, which was hosted by The Learning Society of Queens University of Charlotte, discussed the inspiration for some of his most notable book/story ideas and the fascinating relationships he built pursuing those stories. Seriously smart man with an electric personality and contagious sense of humor. He had the crowd rolling as he spoke about his formative years as a writer while learning to develop his style. His recount of the first encounter with Michael Oher – former left tackle for the Ole Miss football team and focus of his book, “The Blind Side” – was thoroughly amusing and such an incredible story. If he ever happens to be speaking in your city, go see him – you won’t regret it.
