I got a call from the Duke Mansion late one afternoon asking if I was available to photograph an event happening in less than two hours. A slight miscommunication had left them without a photographer for an event they were hosting that night and they were scrambling to find a professional photographer last-minute. Luckily, I was available and had just finished an assignment, so I was already mentally in the zone to keep shooting and come to the rescue. How convenient!

This property is just so beautiful that it’s hard to take a bad picture. The picnic-themed setup was delightful and the food was incredible! The attendees were so wrapped up in how great the event was that you wouldn’t even know that there was a ridiculously heavy rain storm happening all around them. Thank goodness for tents. Wonderful live music and steaming hot oysters and BBQ made this an event to remember. Happy to share a few of my favorite photos from the night.
