Charlotte Tourism Promo Video

This was a fun one to produce and edit. The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority came to me to create a high-energy video that spoke to the achievements of the tourism industry on the region’s economy. The video was shown at their annual Partners in Tourism award ceremony last week, and it was a hit! Big thanks to the 40+ companies and people that helped make this video a success!

Athletic Equipment Product Shoot

Back in June, I was hired by UCS Spirit for a fun product shoot involving some incredible National and Olympic athletes. UCS wanted to update their catalog with some of their new and improved products and wanted to keep to the high-key set-up that they had used in the past. I worked with their art director to come up with a lighting scheme that would really show off the sculptured physique of these athletes without being too harsh. We were looking for a happy medium between Continue reading

Tommy’s Pub photo story featured in Charlotte Magazine

So pumped to see my photo story about the closing and demolition of Tommy’s Pub & Club being featured in the October issue of Charlotte Magazine. I had been documenting the Plaza Midwood dive bar for a year, and it’s great to see the final product featured in print. Brandon teamed up with me and wrote some great copy to coincide with the photos for the magazine. We need to work together more often! Currently creating a photo book showcasing a more rounded selection of photos from the bar’s last year. Stay tuned to learn how you can get one!

I got a call from the Duke Mansion late one afternoon asking if I was available to photograph an event happening in less than two hours. A slight miscommunication had left them without a photographer for an event they were hosting that night and they were scrambling to find a professional photographer last-minute. Continue reading

Visionary Women Luncheon

150504VisionaryWomenLuncheon_019_BlogHad a great time covering the 2015 Visionary Women event this past weekend and listening to inspiring women like Lauren Bush Lauren, founder and CEO of FEED, speak about their accomplishments. Todd Murphy Events did an astounding job transforming the Mint Museum’s space into an Safari-inspired masterpiece. Faux grass turf was rolled in and laid throughout the room, vibrant colored drapery was hung from the ceiling, wooden chargers and copper Moscow Mule mug accents adorned each table and small details like the African sashes for the wait staff rounded out the theme.
